Hi, it's me. I'm the Empathetic Traveler, it's me!
My name is Travis Garcia, a 34 year old empath. I am originally from Valparaiso, IN and studied Sociology and Criminology at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. I moved to Bourbonnais, IL to pursue my career in Law Enforcement.
I am married to a woman with Wanderlust, Kerstin Rust. Father to a daughter ripe to see the world and all it has to offer. I currently am a Police Officer, of 10 years, who is just finishing up their 7 year specialty assignment of working as the School Resource Officer for the local public school district.
Why is the Empathetic Traveler?
I am often asked, "What is your why?" Simply, I just love to travel and experience new things. I have had some very amazing experiences while traveling and so many people ask me about them and want to know how they came to be or what I did to have them happen.
One day, after a truly magical experience at Ollivander's Wand Shop in Universal Studios Florida, I figured it was time to start blogging my travels. I want to help show others how using just a little bit of empathy and putting yourself out there will really elevate your travel.
